INSURANCE. Many changes in the insurance world over the last 6 months. Many small-time promotors having their policy completely cancelled. Lack of insurance companies covering motorsports. Several of these guys have seen their event policy's double with new providers. Its something not often talked about. I have not talked with any track owners, I'm sure some have felt the squeeze. I know of 1 group that just got to hold their first event of the year just a 2 weeks ago. There policy went up 5x. They were only able to find 2 providers to even give them a quote. They are a group that has not had a claim either. On top of a 5x increase they lost 3 events. Due to the turmoil, some of there drivers moth balled their machines. They are now facing lower counts.
