Starting to make plans for the USAC sprint car race coming to Macon Illinois. I’ve always wanted to go see the Allstars there when they used to visit, but never made it. So with my favorite series showing up for a two day show, I figured it’s time. Anyone have any advice on decent lodging nearby the track, and food spots? Thanks in advance

Just make sure you save room for a walking taco at the track. And the popcorn is pretty damn good too.

Haven't been there in years, POWRI shows rain out about 75% of the time. You will probably want to look in Decatur for a room. Sooner than later.

Thanks for the input friends. I just found something out today that has given me pause. After watching a good race at Kutztown, reading some posts on the twitters, I found out it was a show up points only race, and I’m told Macon is as well. I missed these facts earlier, and was wondering if anyone thinks it will affect the turnout in Illinois? They lost basically 10 cars tonight at Action Track USA. What’s your thoughts?

Sunday night. Many hours from home and a long week. There will be plenty of cars at Macon and Action Track was fun
