Number of heat races, again!

Perhaps my opinion is biased since I go back to the time in USAC when the fastest 28 qualifiers made-up the 4 heats, and the rest, onto the trailer. I am not advocating that, but 30 cars at Paragon and you get 3 heats and a semi. What would have been wrong with 2 heats of 7 and 2 of 8 and taking 4 from each with a 14 car semi taking 6. Yes, I know the new minimum is 32, but wonder about the rationale behind it. Also I do not mind the extra $5 at gate, just want a full program when there is an adequate number of participants.

I'm a pretty big critic, but had no problem with that program.

Views will be different, But I agree the three heat system puts one of the top two in a transfer to start the race., . Also think it should go to five heats and three transfers with over 36 cars. the whole 12 car and eight or en lap deal on tracks that are still fast, is a huge obstacle to overcome.
