"Sweet Named 2008 MidgetMadness.com “Top Gun of the Year”

Brad Sweet has been named the 2008 MidgetMadness.com "Top Gun of the Year", presented by JE Pistons. Sweet, from Grass Valley, California, put on some amazing performances during his first full year behind the wheel of a midget.

Among his 6 wins in 2008, Sweet found victory lane in the prestigious Belleville Midget Nationals as well as sweeping both nights at the Knoxville Midget Nationals. If it was a big midget event, Sweet was usually found running near the front. He also finished a solid third in the USAC National point standings.

Sweet will be presented the Top Gun award during the 2009 Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma in January.

MidgetMadness.com will also honor all the "Top Guns" who won the 2008 championships in 14 National Midget groups. All the drivers will be featured on a limited-edition t-shirt and poster. JE Pistons is the presenting sponsor with associate sponsors Spike Chassis, Super Shox, Awesome Race Suits, and OpenWheelMarketplace.com.
