GRADY CHANDLER BENEFIT RACE FRIDAY AT CREEK COUNTY

Sapulpa, Oklahoma (August 13, 2019)………This Friday night, August 16, USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma returns to the bull ring at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. for round eight of the 2019 season.

In the series’ most recent appearance at Creek County, 18-year-old Grady Chandler was making his way to the front of the pack of the feature event when, on the 18th lap, he was involved in a serious accident.

The racing community has shown amazing support for Grady after he suffered injuries that left him without feeling from the chest down. *There have been many support foundations who’ve stepped up such as the USAC Benevolent Foundation, the Steve King Foundation and POWRi West who created the Grady Chandler Foundation.

This Friday night’s USAC feature event will be a 30-lap race with a Parade Lap sponsored by Hunt’s Brothers Racing that will go straight to the Grady Chandler Foundation along with all 30 laps being sponsored for $50 with $25 going to the driver who leads the lap and $25 going straight to Grady.

Lap 18 will be different, however.* Wilcox Mobile Mechanic has added an extra $100 to be split on top of the $50 on the lap in which Grady was injured.* Jerry Medlin has also offered a Hard Charger Award of $100.

USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma will have Grady Chandler snap-back hats available for purchase at $20. *All profits will go straight to Grady.

Andrew Deal (Caney, Kans.), point leader Danny Smith (Sand Springs, Okla.) and Matt Sherrell (Owasso, Okla.) have won each of the three USAC WSO features at Creek County this season.

Adult grandstand tickets are $15, kids 10 and under are free.* Gates open at 5pm Central, hot laps at 7:30pm and racing at 8pm.* POWRi West Midgets will also be in action at Creek County along with USAC WSO.
