Tony has his detractors. I am not one of them. IMO, he has done an excellent job of running Eldora. Invested in facility upgrades (bathrooms, scoreboards, etc) to bring the facility to a more modern look. At the same time, he has poured lots more $ into the purses for all their major events. Dream & World 100 for late models & the Kings Royal have seen massive purse increases in recent years as well as more nights of racing with full shows each night.
All this while keeping the prices affordable. Reserved seats for the final nights for each of those events are in the low $40 range. When you compare that to what you might pay for a standard USAC, WoO or a big late model show, it is a bargain. |
