Two weeks ago in Quincy, IL it was 107 for the hell tour (thank God they had air conditioning suites for just $3, my relatives thought that was extravagant until they sat up there.
Than the next week, I watched the midgets at Ventura, Ca and froze my ass off, I swear Ventura is one of the coldest tracks in the country during summer. Within an hour of the track, it sometimes canbe 35 degrees higher, which I guess is good if it is 100 plus inland. WISHED I was at Kokomo, no matter the weather. The first two shows of ISW looked incredible . Have fun tonight and keep hydrated. PS everytime I see a late model show, I always wonder what the attraction is. They start the fast qualifier on the pole in the heat, and than if he wins it, starts on the pole for the main. As has been the case before, I SAW VERY LITTLE PASSING, and none at the front. When I saw the senior sprints at Ventura, I saw more passing in two laps than I did in two nights of door slamers. And my relatives back there couldn't be dragged to a sprint car race |
