GOOD LUX CHARM: LUX GOES BACK-TO-BACK IN THE CIRCLE CITY

Indianapolis, Indiana (May 25, 2023)………For the second time in six days, Matt Lux is a USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget feature winner.

Lux (Manilla, Ind.) scored his second victory in a row during Thursday night’s non-points, special event 20-lapper at Indianapolis, Indiana’s Circle City Raceway.* Last Saturday, the reigning All Star Circuit of Champions TQ Midget titlist also grabbed a win on the high banks of Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.

Starting all the way back in ninth, Lux was the biggest mover of the event, running down racelong leader and defending series champion Stratton Briggs.* The two waged a side-by-side battle for several laps before Lux finally wrestled away control on lap 13.

Lux led the remaining eight laps to close out another strong victory by a 0.560 margin over 10th starting Ian Creager (Covington, Ohio).* Bryce Massingill (Troy, Ohio) took third ahead of Briggs (Anna, Ohio) with Marcel Berndt (Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, Bavaria, Germany) rounding out the top-five.

Is Matt Lux of the family of Ron Lux who was cheered by many of us at Oswego back in the sixties?

Not that I know of, he and his brother Kyle both drove for me, as well as others, for a lot of years in UMRA and MTQRL in tq's, I don't have any information about the 60s of there any other related drivers, and I would know, I'm 85 pushing the next orbit
