Sprint Car Questions

I am running a simulation sprint car racing league where you create a driver and manage him through a racing season. The driver can participate in the WoO circuit or the All Star Sprint Car Champion circuit. They also have to manage funds such as damage repair and sponsorships. Since I have never been behind the scenes or in a pit crew, I have no idea what goes on back there and in terms of repairing the car. Do crews repair a car after every single race? What if a car flips and it's pretty bad damage? How much would that cost to repair? Any help at is is greatly appreciated.
