I pray that Marv makes it through this. There's not a more distinguished, classy and universally well respected race fan, in our part of the racing world, than Marv Fish. Kind of like Tony said, Marv has one of the keenest senses of humor of anyone I've ever met. His wry and self deprecating wit, along with his genuine friendliness always makes an evening watching the races with him a pleasurable experience. Hang in there buddy, you've got a lot of people pulling for you.

***Marv Fish UPDATE*** I just came back from CVICU @ Univ Hospital. His nurse said they expect him to be in CVICU several days. Marv's in a drug-induced coma--his body's in less stress than if he's awake. His body temp is very cold which protects his brain & his heart during the initial healing process. Per the Respiratory Therapist he's on a special oxygen respirator.
PS: I work at UC Coll. Med & can walk to the hospital w/o going outside.
