Does it always happen after sprint week, the car counts drop? Maybe some are getting ready for the SmackDown that basically starts Wednesday.

Well, I wasn't actually there for the race but as part of a overal day of Racefans and the race as we had our BARC Luau at one of the shelters.

Racing was good. But Bilbee took control quickly and gapped the field. Tmez had started sixth and quickly got to third but took several laps to get second on what turned into a hexed lap 11 which had I think two yellows and two reds that took half the field Not all from crashes but a few pulled in or off. think we finished with nine.

Once the race resumed Tmez could catch Bilbee but not get around him. Bilbee then gapped him again but Tmez closed too within a slider on about lap twenty. A couple lap cars which Bilbee executed perfectly allowed the easy win in the final couple laps as Tmez couldn't pass at the same time as Bilbee.

Abrahams raced a clean race to get to third. Kendal actually made a couple passes late to get back up to fourth But was among the top four early.

Great night, Great food. Got a cloud cover at race time so sun in three and four wasn't a issue.

Seen you next race.

Now to watch some replays of Duquoin and other races on Flo until the eyes can't take anymore.

I dont care what anyone says. The Burg is bad fast and a fun place to race. There might be 30 cars somewhere else rolling through the slick. The Burg is on the wall and hammerdown!

Love the racing at The Burg, usually, but the 30 min break/reverse draw, plus the hornets 🐝 and only 18 cars starting the sprint feature made it a disappointing night for me.

Yes, compared to the last three or four reg shows there wasn't a lot of passing at the front. Sometimes I almost wish they'd run the mods last and pure stocks second. But a good night overall. cloud cover helped with comfort.

I say that about the running order because the pure stocks and hornets take off or scrape up the rubber. the damn mods aren't good on the slick. someone spinning every other lap.
