Waynesfield Raceway Park Up Next

For the second time in as many weeks, the NAPA Auto Parts /FAST on Dirt and Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series tours will come together. This, the season finale for both, will take place at Waynesfield Raceway Park this Saturday, October 12th. For the winged 410 FAST on Dirt, this will be the $5,630 to win "Bob Hampshire Classic". Lockbourne, Ohio's Cole Duncan wrapped up the 2019 tour championship one week ago, winning the Atomic Speedway "Freedom 40" for the 5th straight time! Lee Jacobs, Tyler Gunn, Jordan Harble, Cody Bova, Max Stambaugh and Cale Conley are still battling for the 2-7 spots.

In BOSS action, this will be their second appearance at Waynesfield in 2019. Cody Gardner scored his first ever sprint car win in the July "Jack Hewitt Classic" but 2019 has been the Matt Westfall show! Westfall won again this past Saturday night at Atomic Speedway, clinching the series championship. Former Waynesfield regular, Dustin Ingle, ran 4th at Atomic and slipped past Gardner for runner-up in the standings. Behind those top 3, a hotly contested top 10 is rounded out by Kory Crabtree, Dallas Hewitt, Dustin Webber, Korbyn Hayslett, Steve Little, Parker Frederickson and Buddy Lowther.

Pit gates will open at 2 pm with general admission gates opening at 4. Racing action is slated to begin at 6 pm. Adult general admission is $18 with seniors (62+) just $16. Cody Gardner claimed the BOSS feature win.

Skylar Gee won FAST feature.

Bell was on hand and was leading when he did a spin and kept going, losing a bunch of spots. He looked like a sure winner prior to that.

Incite your heart to see beyond the view.

Track looked dry because of wind or no water truck?

Jimmy Track was dry and rubbered over in hotlaps/qualify. not sure more water would have helped as a steady breeze was blowing all night. While the Wing cars could move around early and bell found some speed others could not on tippy top. It was a track that pushing it was either going to move you back or get you in trouble.

I love the track semi tacky with two grooves but both races I went to were rubbered down one lane peddal fest.

Congrats to Gee and Cody Gardner on their wins.

It was COLD! too me to sydney probably 25 miles before I quit shivering on full heat. Good thing was a hundred miles away and I was home 11:30

Fish, I believe Bell had been passed by the 4 or that's when they swapped the lead a couple times and Bell went low to work traffic spun twice around the tire and still came out 11th. got back up to fifth i beleive. Anyway Bell at the start went from 8th to the lead in about 8-9 laps. The 4 passed him a couple times after a restart and Gee after bell was out of the picture ran down and passed the 4

I want to give a big thanks to Shane Helms and all of Waynesfield staff for bringing the D2's and Non-wing mini sprints. Especially since there was 32 cars!

Great fun, hopefully they bring back the D2 and Non-wing mini sprints. I know several more cars that would've came, but the rain the night before and the cold weather made them think twice. Lucky for us we are only 15 minutes away.
