WoO and USAC put on two incredible features last night. Congrats to Robert and Sheldon on the wins. Eldora sure came roaring back to life after the long lay off

Sure was good to see Robert back in victory lane. After all he's been through, I think even those who aren't fans of the Madman were cheering for him.

Amen! The features were awesome. When I walked in the gates there were smiles from fans and track workers. Kudos to the track and sanctioning bodies for going to group qualifying and not wasting any time. I'm sure they would have liked more track prep time, but they had to beat the rain. Amazingly, it started to sprinkle just as I got in the car. Nice job Eldora!

Sorry,
I thought the first set of features were not good at all, the USAC guys were on skates and the WoO race went to rubber down. These are the reasons Eldora doesn't run during the day unless they have to. The second set of features made up for it in spades as they were great races.
Anytime the announcers are working that hard to sell the quality of the surface you know it is not good.

My agreement with Robert is that Earl would never let racers or a sanction tell him what to do. They could meet with him non race days etc, But on race days. It was race or leave. didn't matter to him. Someone got out of line, they got escorted out.

Used to race day races all the time at Eldora and yeah the track was usually used up but rarely so dusty you couldn't see and still had a cushion rather than a wall to hit.

Seemed the second races were both really good. Not saying they're can't be good racing there now. It's just different. Hope you all had a good time. I know I did supporting my home track.

I was only speaking for the evening show. When I saw the highlights of the daylight show, that was scary and dangerous. Couldn't even see through the dust. I expected a hard slick track for the evening, after running two shows in one day. And with rain coming, they had to hurry. At least we got a complete show.

It definitely wasn't a picture perfect weekend for the weekend at Eldora. It was very windy and cold all weekend. Our racing family did get in some Kodak moments and life time memories again this weekend. We had a nice visit with stubb and our racing family from pa. Great to see all the people and fans back at Eldora. It is what it is
when you go to a dirt track racing events but we made the best of the weekend that would could do. See you guys at the next racing events. God bless America and all the great things that we all love. Thanks. Go Ballou. LOL.

The day race was dominated by Tyler Courtney to the point that I figured he had two engines! I mean that machine was flat out flying, inches from the wall. There are some stout cars running with USAC, and Courtney lapped up to six place? On a Half Mile? Unreal.

now the second race, ran after the sun went down was EPIC.

Robert Ballou was not going to check up on the loud pedal just because Tyler Courtney decided to throw slide jobs at him. Robert did not flinch, even though he does not have a Semi Truck full of spare parts. I have been going to races for years and years, and was actually afraid I was about to witness something awful in the form of a high speed accident. I assume after three slide jobs and contact Courtney figured second was better than a crashed race car and broken bones. I wish Flo had stuck around for full post race interviews.

Only the winner, Ballou, was interviewed after the race on the PA. The top-3 finishers would always get interviewed in that case. However, thunderstorms were on the way and, in the effort to save as much time as possible and get the entire show in, the WoO cars were pushed onto the track and their feature began.

Needed every second of spare time as it turned out. It was raining (lightly) during the final laps of the WoO feature and began raining heavily very shortly after their checkered flag.

Have to admit that the evening racing was pretty dang good. I’m one of the folks that loves the old Eldora and am on occasion critical of the track nowadays. The only complaint I have for this weekend was that they didn’t race Friday night/Saturday morning by order of the Outlaws from what I gather. Day racing is always a bit of a crapshoot so I didn’t expect much. The evening program didn’t disappoint. Great to see Robert back in the winners circle. He just wouldn’t be denied after Tyler gave him all he wanted. And great to see Sheldon get his first Outlaw win at a track that his father has had so much success at. I wish we could’ve been there live, but before we know it summer will have flown past and it will be time the wonderful 4 Crowns and our opportunity to make some cell phone camera moments
