Don't know if anyone out there has any recollection of Jim or knew him personally, but he was an amazing person, loved racing and writing about it more than life I believe, he was a friend to all who met him, he went where he could get employment and be the best writer on staff. I'll try to post more as I find out more, and if anyone has any information, please post it. Thanks

This is heartbreaking. I met him in Iowa years back. And he is one stand up human being

Thats a shame, I always liked Jim. Thought I heard he went to a nursing home a few years ago. RIP Jim

Jim was a great guy. We crossed paths many times and always enjoyed catching up with him. If you enjoyed racing, he was your friend. RIP

Loved, Jim, aka Santa! I knew when he was diagnosed with Alzheimers, it wasn't good.
He took plenty of pictures for the Greensburg Daily News & wrote articles on U.M.R.A., etc., when I was a kid. Then he took more pictures, I saw him at several T.Q. shows, I raced in the mid 2000s. Then he moved to Iowa & kept writing for a local paper out there. I'd still see him at the PRI Show in Indy.
R.I.P, Jim!! Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends! ❤🙏🙏🙏
