After all the money and time Bob Sargent put in keeping not only the Hoosier Hundred, but Silver Crown racing going, I am fine with him try to get a return on his investment. I believe this will be the top paying Silver Crown race. I am fine with it. Sorry it isn't at the Indy Mile, but that is what happens when your state is controlled by the casino industry.
Here’s the thing. I’m not going to go to a pavement race just because you put a name on it that is revered as a historically great race. Now I’m not against pavement as much as I might come across. What I don’t like is people telling me how wonderful it is when I actually saw it when it was. It’s not now. Sorry if I offended you, but actually not. Like it or not, pavement racing is what's going to keep Silver Crown going in the long term. Don't think so and you don't understand where the money in the series already is.
