Just wondering if anyone has any further info on the SMACKDOWN. Also if Josh and Jerry Spencer's family are o.k. Also prayers being said for all involved in the Kokomo area. Headed that way today.

Hope Jerry, Josh and family are ok. Know they were at the track when it happened.

Racinggirl Shannon's house was hit, I know some of the racing family went to help But might be nice if someone could setup a way to help $$$ insurance if any sometimes dont' work like you want it too.

Jerry Coons and family rode out the tornado in the freezer of the applebees right next to the Starbucks that was leveled. Post from people in the restaurant on the other side said they too were in the freezer and when they came out Applebees, Starbucks was leveled. Went over to help get the people out. Said they were trapped in the restroom as doors would not open. Taking the pins out of the door hinges freed em. Minor injuries throughout the whole area but no deaths. Thank the Lord.

Prayers to all who need them. Be careful traveling through town, lines are still down. power is still off (Not at track) and emergency and construction equipt everywhere.

Thanks for asking. We left during the first round of storms and just made it home as we watched the first tornado passed just south of us. After that we went out to help friends and family that weren't as lucky. South of town is a mess and Kokomo is currently under a travel advisory. Hope everyone else is ok and safe!!!

Right now at the speedway we have sunny skies, but it's still pretty wet. Really need some wind to help dry things up.

Are they pumping the water out of the infield and turn one. From what it looked like yesterday, it would be hard to think they could run tonight. Any word on when the speedway might make a decision for tonight.

I heard it's only emergency transit. If so, wouldn't that mean no race?

Maybe down in town. But the tracks a couple miles North West.. There are other ways to get in than just rt 31

A few years back the track was flooded on Saturday during the Smackdown, ran Sunday no issue. As long as the weather is clear i have no doubt Kokomo will do anything and everything to get it in.

Also as Charles pointed out, the track is not downtown. Plenty of ways into the facility without having to go through the heavily impacted areas.
