I see on IMS website that they aren’t opening gates until 4pm with hotlaps at 5pm....but what time are you allowed to come and park? Or do they plan on lining everyone up on 30th street and opening parking gates at 4??

Anyone help out with the info on that?

USAC says 3pm. IMs says 4 pm. Sure north 40 will be open early but stands maybe 4 pm.

For the North 40 parking can you just show up and pay your $10? I could be wrong but I think you have to prepay for the Premium Parking inside the track itself.

Thanks.

From the map they have a link to the Premium parking is behind the tower terrace on the main straightaway. Not sure thats any closer than the north 40. I just want to know why we cant park next to the track. They park there for the 500 & NASCAR race. There should be plenty of room there. A lot of things I dont understand about how they are doing this

Just opened my ticket package and the back of my north forty parking ticket says the lot opens one hour prior to the gates opening. Whether the gates open at 3 or 4 I cant help with that. Also says inside lots (Which would be the premium parking) don't open until the gates do. Not sure why they cant open the lots up way earlier and give some good tailgate time. Maybe they do, just reading what the ticket says.

And it looks like carry ins are limited to a bottle of water and one gallon zip lock of food items.

I purchased a 2 day $40 parking pass for infield. I had better be close to the track or it sounds like a big waste.

Anyone have experience with the RV “field”? I had to get towed out of Kokomo and would REALLY not like to do that again!!

Went to the speedway and here is what I found out. North 40 parking opens at 3, "Premium" parking and the track gates open at 4. No parking in the wide open area next to the track in turn 3. No passouts. No coolers. No planned rain date if it rains on thursday(one forecast has that at 70%). They assumed there would be concessions available. The premium parking is behind the tower terrace next to the pagoda so not much closer than the North 40. There will be shuttles but it will sure be interesting getting on a shuttle if it rains. If you are used to going to races around here it wont be quite the short track experience that you are used to. I have an extra ticket in row T if anyone is looking for one.
