A chance to hear a Bob Knight speaking engagement is worth every penny/ I went to one at the Nutter Center in Fairborn, Ohio near Dayton in the early nineties. One great story after another...

Many, many high school coaches pattern their defensive philosophy after " The General"

The General Patton of Coaches.

I really enjoyed the times he spoke to the students every year when I was at IU. He spoke to the student body in the fall before the first game and he had so many neat lessons about life. I love to hear his former players talk about the people they have become as a result of his influence. He is about so much more than basketball.

Love or hate him, you can't deny his records.

A graduation rate that is in the mid 90's. Some guys out there don't even have one that is 10%. Kids have to go to class and do the work or they don't play. It's doesn't matter who you are.

Giving large amounts of money to the universities he worked for.

Winning and NOT cheating. Period.

I don't agree with everything he has done in his career. Not by a long shot. I just get a kick out of the people who have never been around him that don't like him. He deserves criticism on some things. Because he didn't kiss the media's ass, some of them see nothing good. People read that and so they don't like him either. Meet someone in person before forming an opinion.
