What an incredible sight to see last night. I'm sure thoughts and prayers for Daison Pursley last fall were positive, but in reality in some minds, people had to wonder if the kid would survive, let alone walk again, much less think about racing a car again. Generally someone breaks their neck, they dont survive. Break their back, they dont walk again, maybe not survive that either. The kid stayed positive, listened, worked hard, and obviously has great family, friends, team, doctors, nurses, and fans all around.

To see him running less then a year after his accident, at Indiana's Fastest Micro Track, US24 Speedway in Logansport/Lake Cicott Indiana was incredibly amazing last night. The track set a new record on car count with 165 Micro's for The Carol Smith Memorial Race. Huge crowd as well. Track was in outstanding shape, staff was constantly touching up the track and doing prepping when needed.

Pursley had plenty of good strong competition from adults to kids with 165 cars present. In his first Feature he took 2nd, the next 3 Features he was in Victory Lane!!!! The kid was absolutely flying around the lip!!!! Great job by him racing, big kudos to him, his family, his friends, everyone at KKM, his doctors, his nurses, and everyone else involved being positive and getting this amazing kid and talent back on the track so soon. Congratulations Daison!!!!

Also great job to the staff and everyone involved for putting on an outstanding show and race for The Carol Smith Memorial Race!! Thank you for affordable admission, family fun atmosphere, good clean facilities including restrooms, good food, good track conditions, using your equipment, and having a racey, fast, good safe track!!!!
