Lincoln Park has only one downfall and that is charging kids to see the races. A family with 2 kids having to pay adult prices for these kids will change their minds about even going to the races. So, this family will 2 kids don't go to the races because they can't afford to. I'd say Spiker should think about this. If I was a promotor, kids under 16 years old would be free as these kids will eat more food than it costs to get in for $20, plus more people will come if the kids get in for free. Greedy promotors can't have it all.

I have criticisms of Lincoln Park but this isn’t one. 10 and under free both in the general admission as the pits. Don’t know if another track that does free pit passes

Just as brown11b mentioned kids 10 and Under are free at Lincoln Park Speedway. Maybe they could offer a discounted ticket for kids between the ages of 10 to 16 for their regular shows.

You mention "kids under 16 years old would be free as these kids will eat more food than it costs to get in for $20". You are allowed to bring a small cooler in with no alcohol. So that can destroy your theory right there.

I also think it's a GET YOUR OWN TRACK sort of post.

However I know for a fact it's a deterent if it's like 25-40 bucks for adults and then charge for the kids. The kids are the future of the sport, both racing and fans. LPS and Bloomington are two tracks I always see a lot of kids

Think the cutoff should be twelve then maybe a student price. But free kids are perceived by parents as LETS GO, Never mind they'll spend 30 in concessions on em.

Had dozens of racing friends who were weekly. just quit going when the cost doubled, tripled and quadrupled with kids or came a heck of a lot less..

I agree with Charles that there should be a student price. Maybe the 10 year to 15 group. I find it hard to believe the Spiker group would be anything but accommodating to families

You cant take a cookie cutter approach for tiered admission prices. It has to work for the individual tracks business model.

Is also has to be easy to administer and easy for the fans to understand.

The age for 'kids' wont be the same at all tracks. Nor will the 'senior' age be the same.
