I wasn't sure how to reach a lot of my Dad's old racing friends, some I probably don't know, to let them know that Dad is now on hospice care. I thought this forum would probably reach more of his old friends than any other.
Dad is now 87 years old. He was a Chevrolet dealer in Trenton, IL for many years. He was a midget driver and then later an owner. He was also an Indy car owner. Probably the hightlight of his racing career was in 1964 he was a co-owner with Gil Morcroft of the Morcroft/Taylor Special that ran 9th at the Indianapolis 500 with Bob Wente driving and Bob Higman as chief mechanic.
"Ralphie the Racer" now resides at:
Aviston Countryside Manor
450 West First Street
Aviston, IL 62216
Cards are welcome.
Thanks for listening,

There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way.
There are so many words to say to you Ralf E Taylor that there is not enough time in the day to say how much you have helped me in life and inspired me in many ways! Thanks for being apart of my life my friend I wouldn't changed a damn thing we did together or the great times we have had! But now all I can say is I love Ralf like I a father! So let's go and put her in victory lane for you are a CHAMPION !
I'm sorry to hear this about Ralph. We (the Knepper family) have many great memories of racing with Ralph. Please tell him that I am thinking of him and if he would like a visit give me a call. Wanda
