Halloween Hotlaps Pit Party Karaoke/Costume Contest Friday, October 31

Columbus, Ohio- Rumbleseries.com will present a Halloween Hot Laps Pit Party on Friday, October 31 from 6 to 11 p.m. The party will be held the night before the Buckeye Bowl Indoor Midget Nationals, an event that features National drivers from the sprint, midget, and supermodified racing series competing on a 1/10th mile oval set up in the Coliseum in midget cars on Saturday, November 1. A full racing event will be held at 7 p.m. that evening.

The party will take place in the restaurant connected to the Gilligan Building (building # 9 on the map.)
fans and teams will be able to attend the party, tour the pit area, and watch practice inside the Coliseum (building # 12 on the map) for $5.00. The Ohio Expo Center map and directions can be found here: http://www.ohiostatefair.com/oec/oec4_2.htm

A karaoke contest will be held with prize money of $200 going to the winner, $100 for second, and $50 for third. The winner will also advance to compete with 75 other site winners at the USA Karaoke Contest finals at the Country Concert At Hickory Hill Lakes, near Fort Loramie, Ohio. More cash and prizes will be on the line at the finals held there on Friday, July 10, 2009. The winner of that contest will also have the right to sing before a major nation country star that night. Last year that spot was before Kenny Chesney. The Country Concert At Hickory Hill lakes is located in Shelby County, Ohio, and has a website at countryconcert.com.
Singers must be 21 to enter the USA Karaoke Contest. The winner of the event will also be invited to sing the National Anthem before the races on November 1st. We will also have a karaoke contest for minors with prizes to be awarded. Eldorado Karaoke from Columbus will be the guest DJ for the contests. They have a website at http://www.eldoradokaraoke.net/. The five dollar entry to the contest can be filed at the door when contestants arrive at the event.

Adult and kids Halloween Costume's will also be judged in separate classes for prizes.

Ken Schrader To Enter Toledo Indoor Race

TOLEDO, Ohio -- NASCAR driver Ken Schrader, a former standout in sprint and midget car racing, will compete both days of the Rumble in the Seagate Centre on Friday, Dec. 19, and Saturday, Dec. 20. The Rumble Series event features National Midget Cars, 600 Winged Modified Midgets, Go-Karts and Quarter Midgets.

Schrader, a two-time champion in midget and Silver Crown racing before moving to NASCAR in mid-1980s, has raced in NASCAR’s top circuit for 24 years. In addition to racing for other teams on the NASCAR circuit, the Fenton, Mo., native owns and races dirt late models, modifieds and picks up rides in other divisions as time permits. He also owns or co-owns race tracks.


A former NASCAR Rookie of the Year, Schrader won more than $25 million during his career and collected four wins, more than 64 top five finishes. He also sat on the pole position more than 20 occasions. He competed in a midget in the Rumble in the Buckeye State in Columbus, Ohio, in January of 2007, making the feature but dropping out early with mechanical problems. Even with all of this success, Schrader remains one of the most popular and likable drivers in racing.


Two complete racing programs will be conducted Dec. 19 and 20 at the Seagate Centre. Doors open at noon each day. Time trials for the National Midget cars begin at 4 p.m. Features for the quarter midgets, go-karts, 600 Winged Modified Midgets begin at 7. All heat races, consolation races and features for the National Midgets will be after 7 p.m.

Adult tickets are $20 for each day. Kids 12 and under are $10 each day. All seating is general admission.
Pit passes are $30 for one day and $55 for two. Pit passes are sold only on race day.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- NASCAR star Tony Stewart has entered the famous Munchkin for both days of the Rumble in Fort Wayne Friday, Dec. 26, and Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum Expo Center, 4000 Parnell Ave. The Rumble includes Rumble Series Midgets, 600 Winged Modified Midgets, go-karts, junior sprints and Lucas Oil Quarter Midgets.

A two-time NASCAR Cup champion, Stewart won the midget feature on the final night last year and was visited victory lane four times since 2005. Billy Wease of Noblesville, Ind., won the opening night.
Stewart, from Columbus, Ind., won his first Rumble in Fort Wayne in 2001, borrowing the Munchkin from Mike Fedorcak that he now owns. He first ran the Rumble in 1999, leading several laps in Joe Gander’s Wild Goose before clipping a marker tire and flipping upside down. “I really enjoy competing up in Fort Wayne and having a chance to pull the Munchkin out of storage,” said Stewart. “I have so much fun running that car at that venue and hope I can be as successful this December as in past years.”

A complete racing program will be presented each day. All Rumble Series Midget races will be after 7 p.m. Qualifications will be at 4 p.m. Preliminary events for the go-karts, quarter midgets and 600 winged modified midgets will begin at 1:30 p.m. Their features will be after 7 p.m.

The pit gate at the southeast corner of the Expo Center opens at 7:30 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday. Spectator gates open at noon.

Reserved seats -- the middle two sections of the front straight -- must be purchased in advanced. They are $22.50 for adults for a single day and $41 for two-day. Kids 12 and under are $10 for a one-day and $16 for a two-day.

General admission tickets can be purchased on race day. They are $19 for a single day and $35 for a two-day. Kids 12 and under are$10 for a singe day and $16 for a two-day.
Pt passes are $30 for a single day and $55 for a two-day. Pit passes can only be purchased in person on race weekend. Kids are allowed in the pits.

New luxury seating in the Pressbox Suite Club are available for both days for $110 per night. There is a $25 discount for purchasing both nights. Only 50 luxury seats are available each evening. These include a complimentary cushioned seat on the press box level overlooking the track, a free pit pass, access to the White Room adjacent to the press box level. A “tail gate”-style meal of char-broiled burgers, sliced cheese, condiments, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, baked beans, potato salad and cole slaw. There will be free snacks and drinks throughout the evening. A free program/roster is included. There will be a driver “meet and greet.” Parking is not included.
