Vermillion County Speedway(IL) maybe coming back. Danville business man looking to buy the fairgrounds.

That sounds awesome! They never should have dozed the track in the first place but hopefully it works out.

It was only turn 4 that was took out and piled neatly out of the way to give them a better tractor pull track.

I hope it happens, unfortunately too many times I've seen people announce grandiose plans for a racetrack that never comes to fruition....

I will believe it when I see it.

Love to see it happen but county fair boards are notoriously bad to deal with.

Gotta admit, Went once for a ILL Sprintweek race, Liked it, It was old burg without the swamp. But I doubt there were two hundred fans, Spiker ran it for awhile, got a good car base and couldn't get a deal favorable to him so he made a two million dollar deal for LPS then probably sunk another million in upgrades and equipment in it.

Danville is an excellent track with no local fan base. It would be best served as a special only track where the race draws fans into the area.
