I remember that night Bland hit that front stretch wall in the black and yellow #2. Damn that was a hard hit!

Remember that well too. First zig zag sprint I've seen.

But the new track tears up the equipment........................

Thats one wreck I remember vividly from the old fairgrounds track, Although i can't say exactly when. Im sure it was a Mel track at the time.
Bland came off turn four on a wheelie and set it down about five feet before the front straight wall. The car just kinda zig-zaged accordion style. He was bruised up by the belts pretty bad but ok.

Nope but the name is familiar. The car isn't. I remember Andy Stapp going out of one

I remember Tommy Bipes in the orange 80, Who was that, that took down the light string hanging across three?

Another one I vividly remember was 13yr old Jeff Gordon in the backup to Kelly Kinser #20 Stropahl Car going through one and two in holt laps then jumping off three and going through the pits at a good clip. Did it again in the heat and they parked him.
