There was a track southwest of Bloomington near Owensburg, the name I can't remember, MSCS was supposed to run there a couple of years ago. Seems to me that Randy Kinser won the last event that was ran there.

Many times on Friday's I left work early, picked up TJ from grade school and zoomed down to Indiana to Avilla and Warsaw. We still talk about some of the wild shows we saw at Avilla.
Warsaw was such a cool place to watch a race, but considering how sound carries across water, we knew it was doomed.
Capital City Speedway near Lansing,Mi was a dirt track that ran supermods and closed about 1965. Wild place.

Santa Fe Speedway for me. I have heard so many people say they hated that track, but never saw a bad race there...never understood why they didn't like it then. I have so many memories going there with my dad. That was the first place I saw a race, as far as I know, but I could only crawl then. I could go on for hours talking about that place and all the races we saw there. If I could build a track, I would build it just like that place...stands, pits (I know...could hardly fit the trailers...but it was cool), parking, and all. It was just such a neat place.....:crying:

Is Charlestown (IN) Speedway still around? I remember a very cold and sunny sunday afternoon many years ago at the James/O'connor race and Sheldon Kinser won. Track was very slicked off. I got pictures of Susie and Sheldon in victory lane hidden away somewhere. Kinda remember it was mainly a LM track.
