I was at the Smackdown Saturday night. I left my seat during the previous caution to stand outside of turn one looking directly down the front straightaway. Holding my seat cushion to deflect the dirt, I saw a car contact another's left rear. Next he is on the wall flipping toward my position. I duck down and hear 2 thuds, look over the wall and see the 21x upright and trashed. I see another car bent up and another on its side with a stuck throttle. Stanbrough climbs out shakes off help and walks toward the pit entry but spins around and sprints down the front stretch to another car. Three cars are junk and Jon is as mad as I have ever seen a race driver in 50 years of attending. I can't say it was intentional but Jon was leading the 20 car the entire race. The 20 car also put a slide job that wasn't going to work on the 40 of Grant in the "B"! Grant flips, collects another racer and Grant is out of the Smackdown. This is how the 20 car received the flat right rear in the "B". The 20 took seven laps of yellow on the flat tire, pitted, restarted but did not transfer to the "A". The 20 and 81 are added to the "A" using USAC provisionals. Two races and the #20 car junks five competitors. A reasonable man might say the 20 needs an attitude adjustment. I hope USAC acts for the safety of all drivers and the betterment of our sport!

If you want to be heard by USAC use one of the above and let them know what you think..
And BTW USAC act like a profesasional organization and keep your website updated DAILY. There are still no updates to their points page since before Smackdown.
YOUR BEST BET WOULD BE TO CONTACT KEVIN MILLER, I WAS FIRED BY KEVIN FOR BLACK FLAGGING ONE OF THEIR SUPER TEAMS 2 YEARS AGO, THE GUY THAT MAKES THOSE CALLS NOW IS FULL TIME AND PROBABLY KNOWS IF HE WANTS TO KEEP HIS JOB TO NOT MESS WITH THE SUPER TEAMS THAT LINE USAC'S POCKETS! JOHNY CAPLES WAS THE MAN AT USAC WHEN THERE WAS A "SET" AT USAC!!

I was not there and have absolutely no idea what happened between Jon and Levi, when I worked at USAC these 2 guys and DD where the most professional of all!! My point is that Kevin is more worried about a few teams that buy multiple memberships!!

No, Have YOU? I just can’t imagine the speed and the reactions that you need. Do drivers make a mistake? Absolutely. Do they do it on purpose? I sure some have. Did Levi do it on purpose? I hope not.
Did I ask Levi? No I did not.
I have seen Dave Darland, Jon S, the Demon and even B.C plus countless other drivers put a wheel to fellow drivers or plain drive into them. I saw Jon S. do it 2 times in one night at Gas City. What makes this deal completely different is where it happened. If this would have happened anywhere else on the track we probably would not be commenting about this. Somewhere else on the track there would have been a good chance Jon would of bounced off of the wall and not flipped. The main thing is that no one was serious hurt. That is my two cents worth so come on with the bashing. And for you grammar police
I’m sorry if I offending you in this post. I’m sure there, their, there’s mistakes.

Good, will you ask him to get his head out of his ass next time you talk to him? Thanks

I guess this is Kokomo's take on "soft wall technology"...

Speculation and rumor are the only two things fueling this thread, and honestly, it is making me sick to my stomach. This thread was started by someone who wasn't even at the track.

I am not defending any driver, but I am NOT going to put someone under the bus for racing hard. There is a FINE, minuscule line between racing dirty and racing hard. Did someone cross that line? Well, if someone did, USAC will take care of it.

This situation will be taken care of by USAC. That being said, lets keep our speculations to ourselves.

Bet that would put an end to it! No cops, no fines... respect earned.
Jon would never do that it is not his style

Say this here Smackdown deal, Fans should have let the promoter/track know that they would not show up if this was USAC sanctioned. If it were the same track, drivers & such would you the fan still go if it wasn't sanctioned, Hell yeah I would have & you would have too. So if they don't do nothin to Levi here's your chance to do something about it !!!!!!
Oh yeah, this will work. Let's see if we can't improve the quality and exposure of our sport by splitting into even more divisive groupings. Like it or not, and they certainly aren't perfect, if you want to see non-wing racing grow to be competitive on a marketing basis you are going to need a recognized sanctioning body. USAC fills this role. As said earlier they are not perfect, but one has to think outside the regional mindset associated with non-wing for it to gain its deserved national attention. I won't defend USAC for everything it has done but the obviously biased bashing and negativity are becoming tiresome.
