This is what happend to #53 with a sponser on the car! Jeff Bland Jr. on the start spun out all BY HIMSELF from the pole and gassed it up and than collected 53 and Hud Cone.. Somehow Stan didnt flip but had a flat and USAC went green without him..

Wow, what a race between Levi and BC. I thought BC had him a couple times but Levi would drive back around him. I wanted to see what Hud could do with the 5th place start after qualifying second and finishing 3rd in his heat but there was nothing he or Jon could do to avoid Bland's spin. I herd a track official say that Tom was already working on the track when he arrived at 9am. He said after a large rain this week that they did everything they could to help drain the track. The track was a little soggy for quals but it was great during the feature. Now hopefully the rain will stay away for this upcoming Saturdays big sprint/midget race at TSS.

Unfortunately Blands dumb move changed the whole nature of the race. Bland Cone and Stanbrough were all on the inside so on the restart(no laps in) Levi moved from row 5(next to BC) to the 2nd row leaving some pretty tough customers like Boat and Whitt between himself and BC. BC caught him and dived underneath a few times but couldnt get past. On the next to last lap Levi went high to the black stuff diamonded off the corner and dipped right into BC's line causing him to get out of the gas. By the time he regained his momentum Boat was all over him and Levi was gone. Same move JJ used a few years ago to beat Levi at a Twin Cities Sprintweek stop. Congrats to Levi. I feel bad for BC he drove his guts out just trying to catch Levi. Great week of races, congrats to USAC and the tracks, they gave us a week of well run shows that finished at a decent hour.

The week isnt over yet though, see y'all at Kokomo tomorrow night if you have any gas left on your tank.

I have to agree with racefan20. Levi got a huge break with the wreck on the first lap. Levi might have won but Clauson impressed the heck out me. That car was getting some wicked bite off the bottom. The car looked to be twisting every possible direction. Clauson's ability to control that car was impressive.
