All great points. Why can't someone tell us fans it is going to take an hour to fix the track and then we can not be so angry while the trucks and cars go round and round. Or do they have no idea when it will be ready? Do they always disc the track during the show like they did Friday?

Did I enjoy the track prep interruption? No, not particularly. Did I enjoy spending that time catching up with friends I only see a couple of times a year? Absolutely. Did I enjoy the racing afterwards? You bet. Yes, it was a late night, but hey, I didn't have any reason to get up early Saturday morning anyway, and if track prep is what it takes to improve the show, I'm all for it.
