:thumbsdown:I have sat and read every page on this post trying not to get angry by some of the things said. I truly beleive that everyone on this board has the right to their own opinion and I guess that goes for me also. I do not know Kevin personally, have raced him several times usually coming out looking at his tail tank, but I could not agree with him more. It is funny how the idea behind his original post gets lost and turned into something totally different. I have raced with USAC a few times in the midgets before moving up to sprint cars, that being said I never felt unwelcomed however Kevin's points are the exact reason that I have not run in the sprint division. The idea that I am going to pay more to get in and register than I would make in tow money if they paid it which of course they dont is absurd. I liken in to the actors in the broadway play that everyone pays to see first have to pay to get in to act for us. Come on.........

The whole locking in 32 is a totally different idea that I also don't like but that has been dragged through the mud to many times to count. The bottom line is that no matter what anyone thinks, USAC does need all of us little guys to put on a good show. We are the reason most of the local fans show up to watch us give it all we have against the "Big Dogs" and as a little guy we enjoy the opportunity to measure ourselves against the best.

Sorry it got long winded but Kevin has the right idea. Do not support those who do not support us. Kevin hopefully I will see you at Danville Friday night. I always enjoy getting waxed by the good ones and you definetley are one of the best.

He is an honest, hard working, decent, tax paying, race loving all around good guy!
And when you have been around racing as long as I have, those attributes, don't always come in a single package!

Bottom line to me is as Kevin and Don have both said;
Kevin, ain't gonna race with USAC anymore until it pays to put on a show or they cut their overhead (which is a good idea), and it is his choice.
Don, has worked long and hard for what he has had the good fortune to aquire and he's gonna enjoy it just as he should!
NOT A DAMN THING WRONG THERE EITHER, AND IF YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS, GET OVER IT!

I think crankin is just that ON CRANK - I cant even begin to think of a response to the statements he made concerning Short Racing. I dont care if Don wants to spent every last dime he has on racing thats HIS decision. When he loads his truck, trailer and takes his family and friends to the races and writes a check (whether its small or large) again THATS HIS MONEY! Be glad another father is with his family and son on the weekend! USAC sets a price and Don pays it until HE doesnt want to. Thats just my opinion.

And all this started out with Kevin stating his side of the story concerning USAC. He also has a right to go or not to go. I for one agree with him, If you cant stop and listen to the Briscoes about racing something is wrong.

Good luck to Short and Briscoe racing in the future.
