I think you have to run more than one or two races to get something off the ground. They ran one dirt race and maybe a pavement race. The pavement race I believe went head to head with a famous racing org and then the deal folded.

there was the one dirt race, and then one at Salem that turned into a practice session because I think 6 cars showed. IRP was running that night I think.

I'm thinking the other track was somewhere south of Salem, like NC or KY... in that area because I remember that all of the the cars that went to the other show had to go right by the Salem area to get to the other track.

Im sorry for my last post I guess I should be happy that there are people out there interested enough to follow our deal at all.Just sometimes I take stuff way to seriously. It just it takes so much effort to put these deals together and it's been an up-hill fight from the get-go.Big Willy you have every right to say what you think and I'm sorry for commin down on you for speaking your concerns.I'll feel better once we get started and spring finally gets here.
Walk away, Think about it and don't take it personally. The guy checked both schedules and noticed something. Thats all..........

Best of luck to you. I'll come watch when I can. If you can get Moler Midgets too. That would be slammin but even if ya can't. ITS ON!

No need to be sorry you are obviously very passionate about what you are doing and that is always a good quality. I am also pretty certain you've been involved in the steel block movement from very early on with Sam if not the very beginning. My big question (and I posed this to Sam as well and got no response) was why anyone would want to have this as a travling series? If the answer is because you want to try to make money off of this, that is fine. This is America and we all want to get paid for our services. The big problem I have is (and I am not saying you fall into this category) that too many times persons will mis-represent and claim to be working for the "little guy" while all along their motives are to use them for their gain (see Democrat party... but I digress). Again I say that I believe trying to make sprint car racing affordable is a wonderful concept, I just don't get why you wouldn't try to begin by building a strong foundation before having these guys try to travel from IN to MI to OH to IL, etc...

These sprint guys are not traveling that far, IMO. Try traveling from Cleveland, OH 500 miles to the nearest midget race, then you'll know what traveling is. Let this guy have time to develop the series... they haven't even run their first race yet!!!

Big Willy listen ok. John and JT are doing what they can. You probably know that Indiana is full of sprints, mostly Alum. Engs. So how many tracks in Indiana do you figure want a sprint car race here if they have sprints already. No track owner/promotor wants another sprint car deal when they already have sprints so they will have to travel a bit. And if they can get larger purses the first show they will but; you can't call it a series with 2 or 3 dates or even call it getting off the ground right so don't curse the series just wish it the best and leave it at that. They didn't build Rome over night.

You all should just wish these guys with some good luck and hope both series get off the ground. If 12 - 15 Midgets show up at thew first race great. If they get 10 - 12 then great but at least their taking steps in the right direction and trying their best to make things work. It's like trying to win the lottery if you don't play you'll never win. The guys are trying to give teams with small budgets a chance to win some decent money and not be out run by the high dollar teams. In this economy you should all be as so fortunate there is still racing you can go watch at your local race track weather it be dirt or asphalt. Be happy you can go watch a race; there are people in other countries that can't even get something to eat on a daily basis!

John & everyone associated with ASCT/ AMCT good luck and hope both series take off.

Getting a racing series (business) started is no picnic believe me. BUT, it can be done and it will take lots and lots of hard work and dedication. It sounds like the powers to be have both and I wish them all the best of luck. Watch for the "BURN OUT" factor, because it's always one step behind you. Be careful of letting the inmates run the asylum.
