You paid $25, it rained, they're offering you the chance to use the wrist band/rain check, at any other race, some that will cost the same to get in, or hold it till next years ISW race. What more could they do? I thought it was a very good solution, they tried hard to get it in, just couldn't beat the rain. We even got a bonus three great heat races for free.

Now that's looking at the situation with the glass half full, not half empty. In an earlier post I also stated that the haulers wanted to get out of the infield but I meant the pit area. Can't get by with nuthin' here.

It sounds like they were offered a Tuesday rain date but declined. Why? I understand that they couldn't get the race in tonight, that's not the issue. I know I'm not the only one complaining about them not rescheduling, all around and walking out I heard people complaining about not utilizing Monday or Tuesday. The rain check policy isn't as great as it sounds, you really only have two choices if you want to get a show worth the price of what you paid to see, one of which is a late model race. Or you can wait a year, but who knows what can happen in that amount of time. What if Dave's not even the promoter next year, there are so many possibilities, many are a slim chance, but it could still happen.

Very disappointed that they didn't accept Tuesday, I would assume that they weren't offered next Sunday because it was already slated as a rain date for Haubstadt?

I would certainly hope that the liquor license thing wasn't much of a factor in that decision. That doesn't even make sense.

The fact that probably many of the over 30, Probably closer to 40 staff have regular jobs probably does have a lot to do with it. It might also be next to impossible to schedule ambulances and other things on short notice. IDK, Just thinking out loud. Real answers through link below.

Yeah, rain sucks for the fans, racers and especially the promoters

I wonder if the track took into account that many fans travel from across the country and can not easily attend another race at Lawrenchburg. Living in CA, most of the time we do not have to worry about rain outs, but we do get them sometime. I know the PAS always has the Sunday available for a rain date for the Ovals, but I have seen other tracks just cancel a race (WOO). I think they offer a full refund or a raincheck for the event next year.

It always surprises me when tracks in the Midwest are not prepared for a raindate, it does rain in Indiana quite a bit, I don't even remember what rain looks like or smells in CA

If the promoter does not want to run the race Monday or Tuesday, he should fully refund tickets (at least to out of towners) who request money. I seem to remember, I was in OSKY, and it rained during the heats. I pretty much thought I was SOL, but I sent my ticket stubs in and in a month or two, the McCarls sent me a check, I was happily surprised.

I would think more traveling fans and teams would come to ISW, if they knew there was raindates. What would happen if u had a week of rain, expensive for teams from the West Coast, where as if u are local, not really a big deal cost wise.

Also, several drivers are involved in a charity event which takes place Tuesday evening.

Just one of them deals in life. Just gotta suck it up.

It's the disappointments in life that makes those special moments magic.

As i pulled into my motel last night I thought to myself well if my only ***** in life tonight is a rain out things are not that bad in my world.

Bring on Wednesday
