I never saw a race here, but Armscamp Speedway in Alexandria, IN was apparently a great midget track. From what a couple of my friends tell me, a lot of the big name open wheel stars raced here in the 1940's & 50'. If you walk back into the woods you can still see the outline of the track. A racey little joint from the past.

One of my favorite tracks that closed was Renssalaer speedway. My Grandparents use to take me there back in the 60's to watch the old coupes race. Another would be Warsaw. Seen many great sprint drivers race there. A great track overlooking the lake! What a shame!:headbang:

what a great post. Shaheens lil Springfield is definetly on the top of my list. The B4 sprinter that Bubby drove my grandpa Bill Camfield bought i believe from Larry Cannon. Ole Bub won a lot of races in that car. The 3 car the Jerry Camfield drove to a lot of wins also was bought from Bill Utz. And the 86 car Dave Camfield raced was built by Johnny Myers, and i have that frame in my back yard waiting to be resurected. the worse thing for me is they closed the track the year before i started racing them fender cars and i never got to turn any laps there.

The track that Dickie Gaines won his first track championship at. Driving a white number 11. I don't recall the name but it was in Indiana. And is no longer there.
