We enjoyed our first evening of sprint car racing with the exception of lap 19.

The boy ran the car well for his first time behind the wheel. I was happy with how he attacked the track and didn't just turn circles. He made some good passes and was running well in the feature when he just made a rookie mistake.

We'll get the front end repaired and be back in two weeks.

Very impressed with the 13e car!!! He did a great job and I'm glad he and everyone else came through what could've been a disasterous situation on lap 19. Great job guys!!

Hey, Im not worried about it. Got to see a few of the greatest runs I've seen.

Great Crowd!

T-MEZ coming from 19th to FOURTH in ten laps! Braylon and Blake. Braylon looked like he might of had em covered..

Justin Grant who's absolute mastery of the highbanks never dissapoints

Leary, who came in the last lap from about 7 car lengths behind to race side by side off four with Grant to lose by a car length.

Moffatt who turned up the wick the last few laps.

Ted *The Animal* Hines who came from 7th to fifth in the last four laps.

Powri and USAC in IL. BOSS at Sharon, LPS, Paragon, Waynesfield, Winchester and Clay County ran against us. Im proud and happy we got 22 with several hot shoes. Was sad to see Braylon, Dickie, Stockon Go down early with problems.

Was good to see Hiel doing well. Took a couple laps to get his bearing in his heat and then he started seeing what the car could take and moved forward.

Also happy '11 LBurg Champ Boespflug won at LPS in dominating fashion. Great Job Chad and the Stensland Daves!
Great night of racing and thats not playing PR guy! Had a ball!

My observations:

-Did TMEZ put on a show or what. 19th to 8th in 2 laps. WOW! Had the car now broke this would have been an even better finish than it was.

-I thought Justin Grant and Walker were on the outs after this Spring. Glad I was wrong. Very glad Grant appears to be back where he was before the Oct. 2013 setback.

-C. J. Leary who has about figured this place out made a good try at the end with a turn 4 slide job but fell a bit short and had to settle for runner up.

-Joss Moffatt had fallen back to 6th midway in the race but battled back to pass Blake Fitzpatrick for 3rd in the final couple laps.

-Another Section A favorite Landon Simon made a return visit to the 'burg, this time in the Kennedy #2. Subbing for Mike Kennedy, who fractured his foot big time, Simon spent time getting acquainted with the car, had a spin on the same lap as the lap TMEZ broke. Simon went from tagging the tail to a respectable 8th place finish.

-Hated to see two fast shoes, Brett Burdette and Chase Stocken, loaded up to go home early due to mechanical gremlins.

-Wished mod driver and IOW member Shane Mugivan could have had a better night, perhaps his final race at the 'burg before retirement. He had a top ten for a while in a fairly tough field but ended up dropping out at the 3/4 mark with a flat tire.

-We indeed visited Phil Heil during our cruise through the pits. His new Maxim was beautiful, as advertised. Although Phil was quite buzy for the Maxim and TJs maiden voyage at the 'burg, he did take a few minutes of his time to chat.

-The weather was absolutely perfect. There was one cloud that hung around obscuring the sun during the sprint heats. It made picture takin' a bit of a challenge but if that's the worst of it I have no complaints. The track was very good. It slicked off during the second half of the sprint feature but that didn't stop passing for positions in the least.

-Fairly packed house at the 'burg and in Section A as well. Beside Fishburger, Ed and myself, DannyB, LeAnn and Todd, Mr & Mrs Slingshick & dirt330. To top it off DannyB brought SprintManDave with him last night. That alone was worth the trip to the 'burg. Hope we see Dave a time or three more before the season is out.
