I remember years ago pulling my rv into the parking lot across from Irp on the Monday before the Brickyard. You had to get there on Monday so you could get a hookup before they were all taken.. Back then it would be the SC on Wed night Truck race on Thursday night and Bush race on Friday night(the Brickyard was run on Saturday the first few years). We could watch the last lap of the race,then jump on a moped and be back to the RV to listen to the winners interview!
Aaaa the good old days when gas was cheap,your paycheck was double and half the country wasn't drinking the KOOL AID!!! |
