Race tracks are in the business for the sole purpose of turning a profit. An entertaining event is more likely to draw back fans or increase attendance than a boring show. With those generalizations being widely accepted as fact, I do not see where any track would purposely skew a pill draw to put a car with a less talented driver or underfunded team at a greater handicap than they already are. I would venture to guess if there was any monkey business, they'd be puttin the guy with the most talent and greatest chance to win towards the back for "entertainment value". I also have yet to meet a promoter that cares who wins. As stated before, they want the show to put folks on the edge of their seats and hopefully return with several friends. It never ceases to amaze me how many racers and car owners always feel like they are getting screwed by "the man". I guess after our last presidential ******** though I shouldn't be surprised.

Lets see if I understand all I've learned from this thread. The driver with the shortest open trailer starts on the pole. We run the races clockwise and we start 8 cars on the front row.

Hi everyone! This is the most amazing thread that I have read in a long time. I'm laughing alot. I feel sorry for a few people whom I won't mention. But I'm still laughing anyways. I will add this though since I don't go everywhere and race like all the rich boys, I will add this: all the draws that I have been to, they did set it up as the lowest #'s went up front and as the #'s grew the farther back you started. But who is to tell any track how to run their draw, I for one would of been wondering what was going on but after it was explained to me, I would of said wow that's Different but oh well. Atleast we get to race, they didn't say your to heavy or your car's ugly or something else. Have fun guys keep racing and GOD bless you all. We'll see you at the tracks. John , JT and Don don't take it all personnel, and I think you guy's will grow and do fine.

Good Luck Jeff

Oh **** . . . I think I just pissed myself laughing!

What if you drive your racecar to the track? what if there is an odd number of cars, do you still start all 8 on the front row?

Once again for the IOWheelers on here that keep posting my name.. I'm not a member or associated with any racing organization including USAC, POWRi, ARDC, Badger, AMCT, SMRS, BCRA...

Here's a very novel thought. Try posting on the topic for once. That should clear the room quicky.
