What did I learn from watching that? The lead car's an Ecotech and the second car's chain drive?

Crankin

Your post are starting to resemble a PHD Dissertation complete with footnotes.

My suggestion would be to look at Montpelier Speedway and watch what they are doing. Not perfect but close enough that everyone racing up there is having fun. They usually have 3 or 4 late model National motors the rest of the field consist of older National Motors, the Ecotec, Focus, Kenyon and Motorcycle chain drive cars. You can usually guess the guy that will finish first, unless Chett shows up with his Ecotec but after 4th or 5th place the race is wide open. Trust me when I say that Chett has something in the performance department and it is not his motor. If the kid had a little money behind him he could win in anything. I made that $400.00 bet with him and lost and I enjoyed every lap of that race.

These cars do not belong at Grundy........Keep them on small tracks like Little Salem let it slick off a bit and go have fun racing one another. I hope the promoters start seeing the advantage of making their tracks smaller. There are just not too many Rear Wheel Drive BIG CARS with V8 motors being produced now days and they need to change the track layout to better accommodate the types of cars being produced.

Let me start by saying this post was created to clarify the Focus engine rule in D-2.

Next: Their was 16 people at the table and everyone had a say. We all agreed at the end of the day with what you see is written. Some agreed on something and some disagreed. I was 1 of those, but at the end of the day it was for the betterment of Division II racing.

Racing different midget chassis Spike-Eagle-Boss-XXX-Hyper or Lightning Sprints, DLH converted(Triple-X)-Hoosier Speed converted(Triple-X)-Hyper converted(Hyper midget) and Henchcraft strictly Lightning sprint (wish Rick would convert one to a midget).
Point is looking at these cars from the stands, you know the ones you need to entainer to get a payout, they all have NO..ZERO "0" clue what engine is in it.

I have been racing (SSMS) these together combos together since 2010 down here in the south and I can say it is about a 50/50 deal on which one wins. IT WORKS PERIOD!!!!!!!

For all you nay sayers come on down to south Ga. in Feb and see for yourself.

We will be having a Race of Champions race on Friday night Feb. 5 for all the Champions of D-2 series and Lightning Sprint series together for 5 laps for $500.00 and the Bragging rights for a year that this driver beat the best in the nation. Last year Northeast DIRT modified racer Josh Sunn took the honers in what was one of the best races of the week.

So instead of talking with your fingers get out their and get your racer ready for Feb....ON! (1) racer could leave there with close to $6,000.00 in their pocket....the payout is great and even if you don't make the show you are still looking at $80/$80/$100. I am working to get that to $100 for non qualifiers.

Sorry Wayne. I just can't take some of the B.S. that is put on here!

Dad,

1. You are the last person in the world that should have any comment on the length of my post.

2. While my post was basically addressed to a certain person, and anyone else that may care, It wasn't intended for you. Why? Because you can't help yourself from sticking/stirring on every post/opinion on pretty much any subject... And as stated in another thread, your posts/opinions usually do more harm than good (let alone their length).

3. Case in point: Nobody talked about racing at Grundy! It was simply in reference to a person that runs there regularly. But now, thanks to you not reading what was said, I'm sure the rumors will start that POWRI/USAC D2 will be running Grundy.

PLEASE just go work on your car, or something, read a book, build a model, watch TV, He!!, do anything else, please!

Did we just become best friends, Crankin?

Someone needs to take his keyboard away already.... Or be mandated to preface all of his posts with "iow official sh*t stirrer, disregard what you are about to read"

Funny how you think you know who you are talking to, but if you have issues with my brother you better take it up with him.
I still plan on putting my helmet on next year, just not sure where, as D2 has outlawed my equipment.
You want actual #s.
OK here you go
Current cars not D2 compliant as left the track in '15.
#54t,#21a, #0, #27, #6, #5d, #5, #77, #51, #17, #21, #53
That's the ones I can think of off the top of my head, there may be a few others.
As far as car count #s down in IRS, here's 2 answers for you, one a few guys went to the spin off series, two some people do not like certain people in the club. Yes was told that point blank, no I will not name names.
As someone who has struggled to get to the track each week I know exactly the cost of getting to the track is.
I'll lay it out for you since you think I'm lieing.
Fuel $50, pit pass $30, food $10, fuel for car $20.
Grand total out of my pocket door to door was on average $110.
When I had my sht together I was a top 3 car, start pay was $100-$125 depending on car count.
My grade school math says I just raced competitively for less than $100.
Now in the new D2 series, the majority cars will most likely hang 2 tires, roughly $300, for start pay of $50.
Haven't even got to travel and your already $250 in the hole.
Most guys you want to support a "budget"series can't afford that.
In the last 2 years I made about 20 races, I bought 1 tire at $120 in those 2 years, and still was competitive due to the IRS proven formula.
Mr. Spencer produced a series that allowed and midget to compete with any power plant competitively.
I proved it with running a VW and a 2.0L stock honda.
The integrity issues come from people pointing the finger at IRS saying they are not real midgets on dot tires and running restrictors.
I gave you examples how misconstrued from the truth that was with comparing late models running with midgets, like chains and shafts.
If you cry integrity and are a true midget guy, you obviously are contradicting yourself.
Now Mr. Spencer formed a proven formula that any midget, with any power plant can race and compete competitively, so D2 comes along and slaps those guys in the face and outlaws thier equipment.
He is getting older and can not do this forever, and no one wants to step up and continue the proven formula due to thier own personal interpretation to they way it "should" be.
I work 7 days a week just so I can go racing, so I'm not in any position to step in for him, but for those guys like me who rely on people like Laverne for an affordable place to race just stuck it up our back side.

OK so you quote me on a pissed off night when I express my opinion on something I bleed and sweat for, here's my middle finger to that.
I don't take pleasure in other pounding thier chest telling everyone they have a better formula when I know it's just a bunch of sugar coated BS.
Don't tell a broke guy you have an affordable package, then force him to spend more $.

That was supposed to be a complement. If you have a problem with what I am saying just don't read it, I agree with some things you are saying and other things I do not agree with you. That is a good thing. I also agree that both of us have the right to disagree with one another so long as we live in the USA.

Maybe you should try doing this in your user cp : ignore List
