Aside from Halfmoon (obvious choice), what are some other local, non-chain places to eat that we should check out while we're in town?

My wife made a list of local places. I will try to get some in the gift shop tonight.

Here are a few local places off the top of my head:
Italian - Pastariffic on S. Webster, Martino's on N. Washington

General - Windmill Grill Dixon and Sycamore W. side of town, Harvey's on Dixon (sandwiches and pizza)

Pizza - Mike's Italian Grill S. Dixon, many others in town but this is my go to place

Mexican - Don Poncho's (2 locations), Mi Familia South off 31 across Rd from Half Moon, a new Mexican downtown on Buckeye St. is good also

Irish Pub - Cook & McDougals downtown

High end - A Michaels, expensive but good, off Sycamore N of St. Joe Hospital in small strip small)

Cajun - I think there is a new Cajun restaurant downtown but not certain it is open

If you want some good BBQ I'd give Hawg Heaven a try

Wanted to thank everyone that stopped at Halfmoon and enjoyed Kokomo best Resturant also wanted to thank everyone that stopped in to say hi to the team and pick up a Spencer Racing Tee shirt. ( $15)

As you know I gave directions to the West side for all your needs plus our sponsors as they have put money on the line to keep Josh Racing, as you all know without people like Chris at Halfmoon and Brent at Colescotts, Mike at Woody's and on and on we could not keep this family deal going.

We had a oil pressure/over heating issue last night but hope to have it fixed for the rest of the week.
