I am not talking about a sprint car race as I said before, I was just using the Eldora Million as an example of money bringing with it a good car count, the Eldora Million that Donnie Moran won, A LATE MODEL race that drew over 200 cars, originally I guess 250 but upon further research I found it was 235. Notice in the post you quoted I clearly stated "late models".

Additionally the Eldora Million was not the World 100, they were two separate races, the Eldora Million was a one time show in 2001.

Just got tix for my 1st Smackdown. Any tips for a newby?
I've been to Knoxville last 4 yrs, it was fun but my trip to Haubstadt last summer sold me on wingless bullring races! Tried to get to Kokomo last year too, early June, drove like a madman from KC, praying for good weather, sunny skies when I got there, race cancelled cause it had been raining all day.... oh well
On the topic at hand, it would be great to have a wingless Nationals, but how to afford big purse $$? Oskaloosa race paid 10 or 15 grand to win, low car count anyway, they said very few teams could afford hauling from Indiana, with no other races in the area, now cancelled. Knoxville pays $9500 just for starting A-Main, plus whatever you won getting there.
If they added wingless Sunday between 360s & 410 at Knoxville, & also Grain Valley the next Sunday, it might fly again, who knows? Do they care in Iowa?

Nate, I see that you are getting smarter, referring to the capitalizing of LATE MODELS, some viewers/posters on this board assume all thread subjects are NON-WING and they are more knowledge about the subject than you, I take that back, they are so confident they know more, they don't hesitate to post a response to let you know. I'm probably, not telling you something you haven't already figured out, on the other hand, if you made as many post as some people here, you/they just might make an occasional mistake.
