The clown at the Little 500 was Jimmy Kempher, he lived in Anderson, In. BTW Jimmy was deaf. I still think Sun Valley was a cool name for the track in Anderson.

I'm only 38 but in my mind...

You might be "old school" if:

Mike's Pizza still makes you think of spectator races @ Kokomo Speedway.

High Dollar operation means you have two tire racks on the open trailer.

Nope, I have done all of those things at one time or another.

Up until 5 years ago I still had 3 Crosley TQ engines.

You might just be old school if you have ever heard an Evinrude powered midget race. Rather unique!

Yes, the mighty ELTO, might even be older, if you know what the letters stand for! Bob

Easy! Evinrude Light Twin Outboard. I cheated and googled. But, I do remember midgets with outboard engines. They had a distinctive sound and as I recall, a lot of exhaust smoke.

Didn't someone run one of those at the Chili Bowl just a few years ago?
Seem to remember a lot of talk about it and the car almost making an A-main til the motor puked.
