Hello Sandy!

Great to hear from you again! I wish you could join us, but I understand your deal with USAC and do not balme you.

Getting to your questions. Yes, my father Dick did start racing in 1957. It all started with a guy he worked with named Jimmy Howard, along with the Harpring brothers (Rolland and Mel.) Great and funny story. Remind me to tell it to you the next time we meet.

As far as the other, I will check it out and get back with you.

Best of luck to you,
Charlie Dwenger

The best clearly aren't in the UMRA the club has slowly been being watered down over the years, can't you tell by the car counts?

Sandy,

I am thinking that it was a racing organization from out west, like perhaps Illinois or Idaho.. something along that line. However, it would be too easy for me to be wrong on this. I'll keep looking.

If it was in with some of the Speedrome shows, a good person to ask would be "The King of Midgets," Mel Kenyon.

Hey Mel, can you help us out?

If your intentions are to rip apart three-quarter midget racing and have it fail then go right ahead and continue with your negative posts.
And because I don't think you got it the first time - the last line was meant for you.

You are one of the ones that started this whole mess and started the destruction of TQ racing, something your father helped build!!!!!!! Have any of you even tried to sit down with thr UMRA and work out this situation?

What these peope are doing is exactly what Tony George did to Indy car racing, and almost destroyed open wheel racing on that level. They finally wised up and tried to a point to work things out.

So, If you don't know the answer to a question, and the best you can do is resort to name calling you should stay out of it and let the person the question was asked of, answer it. In other words speak when you are spoken to!!!! I really don't get what the poor, poor pitiful me quote is about, there is nothing pitiful about supporting the BEST and the ONE and ONLY UNITED MIDGET RACING ASSOCIATION. People may try to imitate it but they will never duplicate it. Starting their 49th season this club is doing something right. If the other club has not sat down to try to work things out wth the UMRA, it will be interesting to see if they last a year, let alone 49 years.

In answering you question, YES, we have, many times. It would seem that we were talking to Helen Keller. Also, if you are so sure that MTQRL will not last a year, why are your panties in such a bunch? I do appreciate your concern about the MTQRL, but it is unnecessary for you to lose sleep over it. We have everything under control here, but thank you anyway for your concern. Just let us run the MTQRL shows our way, and UMRA can run theirs the way they want.

Competition is what this sport is all about. Are you afraid of a little competition?

It will indeed be interesting.

Charlie,
If you are sticking your nose in once again and answering yes to a question that was asked of Sandy that the mtqrl has tried to sit down with UMRA, you better check your facts!!!!!!!!!!! (Ask Sandy) I am not losing sleep over this other club they are no threat to the UMRA. To quote you again it is like talking to Helen Keller, the issue is not the competition it is the reasons, and circumstances that this is being done. I guess we both have some things in common with Helen Keller, with one exception Helen Keller was not dumb and neither am I. I guess time will tell about you. Again don't answer questions that are not directed to you and that you know nothing about. You know the old saying what goes around comes around, I feel certain that the mtqrl will learn this the hard way. I just hope I am there to see it. It is really to bad that you are tarnishing the Dwenger name in the UMRA.

First, I am so sorry! But when you said;

I thought the phrase "Have any of you" included me. And, I did not know it was a rhetorical question.

Second, Several of "us" have tried to talk with UMRA. Personally, as close as last Saturday. When was the last time YOU tried? (and no, this public bashing does not count.) The talk is over.

Third,

You are right. I was taught better than to argue with a fool.

No this is goodbye Charlie because once again you have been misinformed about talking to the UMRA, I know that for a fact!!! I also was taught to try to work things out without name calling but that seems to be all you know. I am truly sorry for the what you are doing to the Dwenger memories in UMRA, and you will be to when you and the other club fade into the dust but that is what happens to uneducated and disloyal fools. And that has your name all over it.
