I think that statement is incorrect, Dean. As someone who's had a disagreement or two with you on this board, I can assure you that, at least in my case, the person behind the post does exist.
I think some of us just feel like it really isn't worth it to get into a personal and confrontational pissing match with someone after sparring on the net. Message boards (especially this one) promote one thing, in my opinion: Contrasting opinions and, more often than not, disagreements. I always feel inclined, unless really provoked or moved, to take the Las Vegas approach to the situation: "If it happens on the message board, it stays on the message board."
That's all I got on this one.
So, what you are saying is, people can get on the Internet, provoke others, say whatever nasty thing they can come up with, and yet never have to be accountable for their mean-spirited, divisive behavior because they never reveal who they actually are, right? This is cowardly behavior. Simple as that. No self-respecting man would ever do that. Of course, that's precisely the point. No respect for themselves, or others.
Just pointing out the obvious. Okay, that's enough.
