Rain was supposed to start at 3:00 p.m. Now almost 5:00 and barely enough precip to settle the dust passed thru an hour ago. Sun is out now though somewhat overcast. WLWT Cincy radar looks like the heavy stuff went north of here with nothing much showing up from behind. All that said, it's a long time before the flies at The 'Burg tomorrow p.m. Got my spot marked down early today as I watched Dave seal the track. Will try to provide updates from time to time.

For now, I'm off to grandaughter's fast pitch softball game in Rising Sun.

Thank you very much Marv, we are still thinking about making the 8 hour journey to the Burg.

At 9:20 p.m. I still can't give you any definitive info one way or the other. Watching the Reds on TV, it had rain coming down in sheets for awhile in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, nothing here. Every weather source I check (Local TV, Weather Channel, MSN, Noah Weather Radio) is of no help at this juncture. Radar shows the most recent storm tracking just south of Lawrenceburg and moving east. Bottom line, looks like a crap shoot. I'll update again in the a.m.

Oh yeah, I know you're hanging on for the results of aforementioned softball tilt. Grandaughter's team remains undefeated (7-0) with a 7-0 win over Milan. My favorite player, hitting over .600 going in took the collar tonight getting robbed on a smash up the middle but was Brooks Robinson at 3B with several nice defensive plays. Niteall

Thanks again Marv! We haven't given up yet but are leaning towards not chancing it.

Found exactly 1" in the trusty rain gauge (that's a pluviometer or udometer for you meteorologists out there ) this a.m. from overnight storms. Not presently raining and hasn't for awhile.

Will leave future updates for Dave and/or Kim Rudisell.

Man, this is one of them tough calls. Currently sunny at 8am with a line west of here. Future cast shows a few lines moving through throughout the day but clearing and gone the later it gets.

Would love to see some USAC racing tonight.
Hopefully......
