If I had the cash ... no doubt about it I would put T. K. Sharp in the drivers seat. Who is T.K. you ask, he is my 7 year old son who is completely absorbed with the sprint car scene and with a little luck will be testing the waters in a T/Q very soon ...

Tony Jones because he deserves the national attention. And Bubby would be my crew chief along with Mark and Steve Alexander in the pits. Big hauler and just run back in Indiana with USAC until it was time to come home to California for the Oval Nationals.

I wouldn't hire anybody but I would help almost everybody in USAC. First, I would add money to the purses. Based on the 2008 schedule that showed 10 SC events, 34 sprint shows, and 30 midget races I would add $20,000 to the SC purse and $10,000 to both the sprints and midgets. $800 per position in the SC and $400 in the sprints and midgets. Any leftover money to be split evenly among the first 4 non qualifiers from the Semi. Next I would institute a Per Race Point Fund. $10,000 for the SC - $500 each to the top twenty in points going into an event. $5000 for the sprints and midgets - $250 each to the top 20. Next would be a Winners Circle - money for the last ten different entrant feature winners. $1000 each in SC and $500 each in sprints and midgets. The season end point funds would be $100,000 per division spread out thusly (in thousands) - 1. 25 2. 15 3. 10 4. 8 5. 6 6. 5 7. 4 8. 3 9. 2.5 10. 1.5 11-20 1 each. I would award the Rookie of the year in each division $10,000. Any money not paid out due to cancelled events would be added to the season end point funds. This would go a long way to alleviating the problem of low payouts for the bottom feature finishers and give the money to the competitors when they need it - during the season.

If I had two large to go racing with I would put my sorry butt in the car! In large part because it would allow me to scratch one item off of my personal bucket list

The way I see it I would have plenty of scratch for repairs, traveling cash for fuel and more money to make the many changes due to the vast rule changes when DonMoore10 gets his way. Oh that's right  those changes would save me money wouldn't they.

I very well may turn out to be the open wheel equivelent to the car dealer magnate Ray Skillman who had to much money for his own good and went through a couple of million dollars worth of equipment. But it would be a good time.

I'd put Milka Duno and Marty Roth in sprinters. Oh, admit it, you know you'd love to see it! :thumb

Let's see, there's a few options...

1. Hire Dave Darland as driver and coach his teammate...me!

2. Bring Sarah Fisher back to sprint and midget racing while giving Derek Scheffel the equipment he deserves.

I'd buy out her Ford contract and put Stephanie Mockler in a Dirt Sprinter where she belongs.:thumb

Ok I would go after Stanbrough, right now he is becomeing a legend in my book. Plus I have not been able to see him run a sprinter on asphault. Would have to make that happen. Then i would go in the hole getting a second driver. It would take me a little while to figure this one out, of the TRUE shoe string budget teams, which driver is a hands on, and runs well.
