That's the new HT2.....Robert said they did the same thing last night in practice. This is going to be an expensive year.

Some guys put on DT3's and they did the same thing. These tires seemed to wear instead of blister. Personally I think with a little better track prep we will be just fine.

I will agree - this isn't necessarily a problem with the new tire. This is a dry, slick, rubber down race track problem....and posting the pictures was a way of showing what a track like that will do to a racers pocket book....not everyone gets to see the after effect of a track like that....and hopefully it will help the track prep people see that a little water will go a long way. That's only my opinion though and I'm not a racer so I'm no expert.

It worked well, they laid rubber much faster with all that extra contact patch.

Tim is right, the track prep definitely didn't help the situation.

Correction on finish - Hagen got disqualified after he went to pits but scales were moved from pits to infield for feature. They did announce they were moving scales at drivers meeting but he didn't hear that.

Guess some teams have found out that whoever is selling tires deals in cash only, no credit/debit cards, one or two that I talked to didnt know if they would be able to stay, they brought some cash but have spent it on tires already.
