Wasnt trying to be negative Tim just being honest. And you are right if gas was $2 it would be different.

Had all the arrangements made for the 3 USAC shows this weekend. Unfortunately, looks like I will be at home watching it rain. The trip would be over 750 miles and a few hundred $ for me and I don't feel like doing that when there is a good possibility that two of the three shows will be rained out.

I hope that they all three get in and that all you lucky Indiana residents see some great racing this weekend!

I didn't word that right. Not meaning you were being negative i was leaning towards what you were telling me was the truth and i really appreciate that. We pulled the plug on Gas City but haven't given up on the Burg yet. So now i'm off to work, gotta get the cheese! :2:

What do you do and when?

L'Burg is theoretically "my" track. I cancel now, call some friends that I never get to do anything with on weekends anymore because of the racing, and go out for dinner and drinks with them and my wife Saturday evening. Might be the last chance I get until sometime in October!!!!

Cecil, Beings i work weekends year round and 100 hours a week, i have no friends, nobody ever invites me to do anything because i can never do anything ( Pity party inserted here). I wish we could count on the weather, but until it actually rains, and we get closer to race time we have to assume we are racing. I watered the track last night and i am sealing it up this morning so whatever rain we get runs off. We are hoping for the rain to stop by saturday afternoon with clearing skis, sunshine and some wind, then we are good to go. I will moniter the weather and try to keep everyone informed.
The food is ready, Beer is iced down, hope and pray this weather system moves in and out fast!!
Thanks, Dave

Easy decision here in Colorado. Just hope to watch some video of whatever runs. The closest non-wing track is Dodge City now but that is still 400 miles away. Best of luck to all the IOWers, drivers, owners and promoters to get something in.

The weather for Kokomo looks good high of 60 low of 50 and only a 20% chance of rain, but I think they call that no matter what on weather.com see everyone on sunday. cant wait to eat a porkchop sandwich and watch some great racing.

Good luck Dave!! We'll be there if it looks like a go. Don't be afraid to pull the plug if it is so "iffy" that it looks like the bank account is going to take a huge hit!!!!
