I dunno... the 53 looked sick to me at both Bloomington and Paragon. He was getting hauled down the stretches at Paragon and that is not typical. They've lost a step somewhere along the way. Hope they can find the problem. Going from 3d to 8th in the first few laps at Kokomo makes one think something is wrong.

Just got home from Kokomo. I will say that there were a lot of ticked off PAYING customers around us about the no hot lap decision. When we go, we go to watch the sprint cars and that includes hot laps and or qualifying as that is what is usually considered part of the program. As I watched the Gardner team leave I couldn't help but feel cheated of missing out on watching another team that like him or not is one that always makes the show better.I hope that whatever happened tonight does not affect car counts in the coming weeks. For once in a very long time I left our favorite track a little disappointed.

Don't know about Kokomo tonight since I wasn't there but last night at Paragon he was runnin strong until he got collected by Windom in turn 4. After that he made a hard charge towards the front. So I would call it some missed set ups and some bad luck. I'm sure he will come back strong during Sprint Week.
