If you're right, it was an excellent media stunt; if you're wrong, the holidays at the Mari Hulman-Georges are going to be pretty interesting this year...

Robin Miller is an idiot, always has been. George should bar him from the track for life.

And how would an IndyCar oval race resemble a sprint car race at Kokomo?
IMHO......I would rather watch a lame IRL race than a cup race w/ there sudo racing legends. Between hearing about "JR nation" and Nascar hype it makes for some great nap time.

Welcome to the board Dave, did you just figure out how to use the computer :2:

I implore you to watch the IRL at Texas here in a couple weeks. After that, hop back on here and tell me if you saw any passing and/or side by side racing.

Speaking of passing and side by side racing, those are the two things that IndyCar (on ovals) has in common with Kokomo.

Say what you want about the current state of the IRL, God knows there have been some major screwups that haunt the series to this day. I'm not debating that at all. But if you honestly think NASCAR has more passing, action or excitement than does IndyCar, you know less than nothing about racing. Period.

The only link short trackers have is Davey, Ed, Davey and John A. John got help from King Richard, Davey is a great champion, Ed is a good driver but it helps to be a stepson and Sarah is there because she refuses to quit. I never wanted Indy to be 33 short trackers but I certainly didn't want close to 29 road course specialists either. When I look at road course specialist that deserve a shot my thinking turns to drivers like Clark, Fitipaldi, Donohue and Hulme. Today they get these RC specialist wannabees that have very little name recognition. I still don't know who Matos is and the only reason I know Mario Morious(sp) is that he's the guy that screw up 1/4 lap into the race. And it is showing with .35 TV ratings. Something needed to be done. I don't know whether this is the right move or not but the Beatle song keeps playing in my head; the one that goes "I admit it's getting better, a little better all the time (it can't get much worse)."

Tom, Get prepared to hear more about JR and his nation this weekend, they are removing Tony Eury Jr. as his crew chief starting with the race at Dover.
