To be honest I have no idea. Sorry, maybe Dan could provide that information.

The cars are probably of no relation but I would bet there may have been some collaboration in the design .

Roy brought his scrap book into my brothers shop a few years ago and the boys made a copy of it . It has some good stuff in it . Old race run downs and some pretty cool pictures of his old rides . If you make it through Salem stop in at Stewart Automotive and check it out .

Dan, I would love to see that! Is Roy still with us? I hadn't heard his name mentioned in the present tense in years and thought maybe he had passed. He has to be very near 80. My high school metal shop teacher (greatest educator I ever had!) lives in Salem now and I'm going to visit him soon because I'm not sure how much longer he will be with us. When I go over there, I'll stop in your shop. The rides I remember most are the yellow #31 (with the chopped Ford tail piece), a "gold plated" modified, and a gold #37 with white trim and numbers on it. Thanks for the invite, Dan!

Roy lives over at Scottsburg and the last time I seen him he was in great shape.

I don`t know about the Gilstrap brothers. I`m going out to Dad`s in a few minutes . I will find out and post back.

I will see if I can scan some of Dad`s old pictures. They have hung out in the shop so long they are pretty faded.

The Chevy blocks were about 7/8's scale. Chuck ran a gas station out here on 50, just before you get to the I, the station is still there, I think it's a BiRite now. He stored all the stuff that Yeadon didn't get, at an old garage in Reddington, and someone broke in and stole it, several years ago. Actually wasn't a roadster, it was a rear engine Chevy, sorry about that. Bob
Thats also the roadster Karl had & sold to Ember Link I do believe had a BIG BLOCK CHEVY ALSO:checkered::checkered::checkered:
