When Cole was sponsored by Red Bull, I talked to their reps about him on more than 1 occasion. They were interested in Cole more than the sprint cars, but did know what they were.
As with most people before Nascrap took the big fall, they looked at sprint cars as a way to get down south, not as a destination. |

The rumor is true, Some of these guys have a budget of nearly two million. Drivers like DD, Jon and a few others have some sponsors they can bring to a team, However Respect and friendship still can go a long way. It just doesn't automatically put you in contender-ship. ---------- Post added at 07:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:14 AM ---------- Red Bull, Amp and the others could make a profit at 1 dollar a can. Why do you think it cost $4 ?

Are you sure, John ?
I heard from some NAPCAR loyalists who have been posting all the latest tin-top news here on IOW that J.R. was running Al And Knobbie's AA/Fuel door-slammer Yugo in 2011. But thanks for getting the facts out there for us!! |

Drivers paying for rides is just nuts. I know its getting that way more and more each day but man its just wrong. Good drivers should get to race because there just damn good drivers. Not because they have the big pocketbook. My Grandfather Jim Moughan would be rolling over in his grave if he only knew. Someday guys like Darland, Stanbrough, Haud, will just be a thing of the past. Im a racer and I thank god everyday that i have a few car owners willing to give me the opportunity to do what i love. Those guys are few and far between anymore and thats just the way it is. I dont really know what the answer is, but the cost of racing anymore is rediculous. Not trying to sound like a crybaby lol, cause i will keep racing rides or not, for as long as my body's able to work. Just wish we could get back to the way things used to be.
And not to get too far off subject lol, windom and grant are two badass racers, so hopefully everything will work out for both of them Joey Moughan |
