Some people on this thread are a joke just be grateful you get to see what you get to see. Support your local track and if you can t get there just hope they show it online! Like dean said they owe you nothing! They have a business to run! Like giving something away for free if they stream it live! Some of you might have to work or be with family that's understandable but if you aren't in the seat at the track they make no money off you. Just think about it! If you stay home to watch it when you can be there, there losing your business!

Do your part and go buy all the technology to stream, go buy a track so you can stream races to the net. Think of the money you'll save on not buying/building grandstands since no one would need to attend the event! Great idea!

I don't sit in the grandstands but I run in to those who b#tch and moan all night about anything. Go watch soccer!
Seems like what was once something once that USAC was doing for us for free is now expected by some as a right. Sorry guys but you dont have a right to sit at home and see all the races. Get off your lazy butts and go to the races.

I like livestream as much as anyone when I cant make it to the races....but....I dont blame any promoter for not wanting people to sit at home in the A/C and watch the hard work of all the racers, track workers ect...for FREE.... and to top it all off...when the promoters do allow it and Mr.mills work his butt off...people b#itch and complain about it freezing up and lagging and what not....we are all so spoiled as fans its crazy....

Well since you don't know everybody's situation, just saying "get off your lazy butt" is easier said than done.

I have physical limitations and a chronic illness that have hampered me from attending races on a regular basis since about 2005. This has drained my bank account of my racing funds plus a lot more too. I went to hundreds and hundreds of AAA/USAC races from 1955 until then. I ignored everthing including my family and other obligations to go to races for all those years. I spent every extra penny and every day of vacation on racing. I was physically ill if a missed even one race.

But my illness made me re-align my priorities. I still love racing. Just because I am not at a race does not mean I am lazy and sitting on my butt.

I think I am entitled to see a race or two streamed once in a while.

Do you get where I'm coming from? If not, it's your problem.

I would like to thank those tracks who do allow live streaming for those who can not be there. Also thanks to all those who help with the live streaming. I would think that Lawrenceburg could have worked out any problems they had with the live streaming if they had wanted to. JMO

What other tracks besides Lawrenceburg and Gas City will not allow live streaming?

Now that your saying Brownstown is not going to allow the live streaming for those who cant make it, i may reconsider going. I was only going to be able to make it 2 maybe 3 at the most. I still may go ahead and come to Brownstown since it was my must see out of all the tracks, but maybe not now?????. Wil be a hard decision now!!!

OH GEE.................

I will try to support those tracks who support their fans.

Gregg,

I completely understand your point. My father can't/won't go to races, and doesn't have a computer. When I brought him to his last race 3 years ago it was one of hardest and greatest things I ever did for him.

But it took this guy until his fourth thread to simply say "I can't go to as many races as I would like to". To use threats of boycotting businesses because they won't give away their product for free is illogical. This is what set the tone for a lot of us to bash his thought process. To waste more gas, time and energy going to Kokomo then Brownstown and not even consider letting Dean know why his work is appreciated, or calling a promotor and asking them to reconsider their policies on streaming.

I'm thinking a post about helping the diehard life long fan who can't drive, afford or cover the entire expense of going to the races. One groove racing, threats of rain and seeing your favorite driver wreck or lose their ride can ruin their night out.

At the same time, maybe no one wants to ride along or help out somebody who doesn't want to help themselves. Someone who is full of negative comments and complains about the littlest of things, doesn't make for a good time for anyone. The whole "taking my bat and ball and going home" attitude makes me think why bother...

I feel for you and I am sorry that you cant make it to as many races as you would like. But to say you are ENTITLED to see races from home for free is just not right. All we are entitled to in this life is death everything else we have to figure out our own path.
